Portrait of Alex C. Heston

Stories built to be played.

Alex C. Heston writes for the screen in drama, comedy, and science fiction. He works as a filmmaker and an actor as well as a writer, and he is open to staff, freelance, and writers room roles in television and film.

His film work runs both sides of the camera. He is a repeat participant in the Spokane 50 Hour Slam, where he placed as a finalist serving as director and screenwriter. He also collaborates on a writer's magazine.

The comedy came from the stage. He spent three years as an actor at the melodrama in Wallace, Idaho, where every show was a comedy driven by audience participation and closed with song and dance. Earlier, he competed in original monologue and reached the state finals in high school. He learned there what plays in a live room, and he writes for that: dialogue meant to be spoken out loud, scenes meant to be acted, not just read.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Idaho.
